Acido citrico concentrato di frutta e piante
A natural fruit/plant-derived citric acid used as a food acidifier - safe in normal food amounts.
This ingredient is essentially citric acid concentrated from fruits or plants, used to add tartness or help preserve food. Citric acid is one of the most common and well-studied food acids, and the tiny amounts found in food and drinks pose no meaningful risk to most people.

Why it matters
Citric acid is the sour-tasting acid found naturally in lemons, oranges and many other fruits. This ingredient is a concentrated version extracted directly from fruit or plant material rather than made in a lab, but chemically it works the same way. Food makers use it to add tang, balance sweetness, or slow spoilage by lowering pH (making food more acidic, which slows bacterial growth). Your body already makes and processes citric acid as part of normal energy metabolism, so it is not foreign to human biology.
