Agents de surface non ioniques
A label term for a whole class of mild cleaning agents, not one specific chemical.
"Non-ionic surfactants" is a category name that EU law requires on detergent and cleaning-product labels, covering many different molecules (like alcohol ethoxylates) that help water mix with grease and dirt. As a class they are generally milder and less irritating than ionic (anionic/cationic) surfactants, but the exact safety depends on which specific compound is actually used.

Why it matters
Surfactants are the molecules that make soaps and detergents work: they let water grab onto oil and dirt so it can be rinsed away. "Non-ionic" means the molecule has no electric charge, which usually makes it gentler on skin and eyes than charged (ionic) surfactants, and often better at handling grease. This is not one substance but a whole family — things like fatty alcohol ethoxylates or alkylpolyglucosides. In household products it ends up on skin during use, can splash into eyes, and could be swallowed by accident (e.g. by a child). It's not something people eat on purpose.
