Kinder Bueno

Kinder Bueno is a wafer-and-hazelnut-cream bar coated in milk and dark chocolate. None of its individual ingredients are dangerous - sugar, cocoa butter, milk powder, hazelnuts and palm oil are all ordinary foods - but the combination is classified as ultra-processed (NOVA group 4) and scores an E on the Nutri-Score scale, the lowest rating, mainly because of its sugar and saturated fat content. On top of that, it carries four major allergens: gluten, milk, tree nuts and soy. For someone without allergies, eating one as an occasional treat is not a health risk. Eating it regularly as a snack or meal replacement is where the sugar, fat and lack of nutrients start to matter.
